SHRINKY DINKS PHOTO BRACELET

Materials Needed:
Shrinky Dinks Plastic: 1 Sheet of Shrinky Dinks for Ink Jet Printers (Item D600-6A)
Color Medias: Paint Markers - Permapaque (Item SAKFINE) or Krylon Silver, Gold or Copper
Miscellaneous:

6 Photos - Wallet size or snapshot
1 Silver Disc Bracelet (Item BRCLT)
Clear Embossing Powder - Fine (Item EMBP)
E6000 Clear Adhesive
Circle Template (Not required if you can create one with your computer)
Scissors, toothpicks, pencil and a sheet of paper

Oven: Home Oven or Toaster Oven
How to Make:
Step 1 Scan selected photos into your computer. Size photos to fit into a 1 ¾" diameter circle. If your software permits, create circles. (If not you can draw around photos after they are printed.) Refer to package instructions.
Step 2 Print photos onto Ink Jet Shrinky Dinks sheet.
Step 3 Use 1 ¾" circle template and draw around each photo with a pencil.
Step 4 Carefully cut out each circle.
Step 5 Bake to shrink according to package instructions.
Step 6 Place each baked Shrinky Dinks photo on a piece of paper, photo side up.
Step 7 Cover each photo with Embossing Powder so that the image is barely visible. Use a toothpick to slide under each piece and carefully move to baking sheet. Place in preheated oven. Watch! Embossing powder will melt and become clear. Remove baking sheet from oven . DO NOT TOUCH THE PIECES UNTIL COMPLETELY COOLED, at least 5 minutes.
Step 8 Color all edges with selected paint pen color or colors.
Step 9 Apply glue to EVERY OTHER flat disk on bracelet. Position Shrinky Dinks photo and push down to secure. Repeat process for each Shrinky Dinks photo. Allow glue to set overnight before wearing.

DON'T WANT TO USE YOUR COMPUTER?

You can use ANY of our Shrinky Dinks shrinkable plastics to create designs that are properly sized for the flat areas of your bracelet, i.e., Butterflies, Flowers, Names, Initials…anything! Simply follow directions 4-9. Be CREATIVE!!
