Instructions

Materials Needed:

◊ Shrinky Dinks Frosted Ruff N' Ready shrinkable plastic (Item D100-10A)
◊ Black Permanent Pen by Sakura (Item D835)
◊ Colored Pencils (Item COLRPEN)
◊ ¼ " Hole Punch (Item D842)
◊ 6 ½ " Piece of Wire
◊ 7 mm Letter Beads (You choose the color)
◊ 5 mm Flat Faceted Beads (You choose the color)
◊ Chenille Bump Stems
◊ 2 Inch piece of Magnet Strip (Item D850) or Pin Backing (Item PINBK)
◊ Tape, Scissors, Home Oven or Toaster Oven

HOW TO MAKE

Lay the Shrinky Dinks Frosted Ruff N' Ready sheet on top of the pattern (roughened side up) and tape into place.

Trace the pattern using the Black Permanent Pen. Color in your image with colored pencils. Remember colors intensify so there is no need to press hard…use a light hand.

Cut out your design. Using the ¼ inch hole punch, punch out holes where indicated on the head and on the corners of the basket.

Bake to shrink and allow the piece to cool.

String the Letter Beads alternately with faceted beads. Spell out Happy Easter, someone's Name, the Year…anything you like. Fasten the ends of the wire into the holes on the basket.

Cut two "Bumps" from the Chenille Stems. Poke the end of each cut piece through the punched holes in the head of the Bunny from front to back. Fasten in place by folding the stem over on the back.

Apply the Magnet Strip to the back of the piece.

Use your "Bunny In The Basket" as a Greeting Card Embellishment, Magnet, Easter Basket Tag, or anything you can imagine.

VARIATION: Use the smaller of the patterns provided to make an adorable Easter Pin. Follow the directions as listed above, but instead of adding a magnet to the back of the piece…substitute a pin backing. For smaller ears, use a regular Chenille Stem (2 inches) folded for each ear.
