THE FRIENDLY SNOWMAN

This smiley face is sure to create smiles by those who receive him, especially if it has their name on it! Many people have such fond memories of having created their own Snowman, and this is such a wonderful reminder. Another keepsake that will be enjoyed year after year!



Materials Needed:

  • Shrinky Dinks Bright White shrinkable plastic (Item D800-6A)
  • Permapaque Paint Pens by Sakura (Item SAKFINE)
  • IdentiPen Black Permanent Marker (Item D835)
  • ¼" Hole Punch (Item D842)
  • Optional: Self Adhesive Rubber Magnet (Item D850)
  • ⅛" Ribbon – 9 inches in length
  • Scissors, tape
  • Home Oven or Toaster Oven


  Step 1.
Place the sheet of Bright White Shrinky Dinks plastic on top of the pattern and tape into place.
  
  Step 2.
Trace the pattern of the Snowman with Black Permanent Ink Pen. Color in as desired using the Permapaque Paint Markers. Add Names, Dates or a message before baking. Allow the colored portions of your piece to dry.
  
  Step 3.
Cut out your image, and punch the hole where indicated near the hat. (If you are making a magnet, do not punch a hole, and trim off area on the hat.)
  
  Step 4.
Bake according to package instructions.
  
  Step 5.
Secure the ribbon through the hole and hang or give as a gift.
  
NOTE: Frosted Ruff N' Ready Shrinky Dinks plastic (Item D100-10A) can be substituted for the Bright White. Simply change the coloring media to colored pencils (Item COLRPEN).
