BLINKING BLOSSOMS MAGNET OR PIN

Here is a fun and fanciful project with multiple uses. Because our Blinkies are ~magnetized~, they can be stuck to any metal surface. They also have a removable magnetic backing that will hang on to the Blinky even through fabric. Magnet? Pin? You decide.

Be sure to get noticed with a Blinking Blossom

Materials Needed:

How To Make

1.  Lay the sheet of Frosted Ruff N’ Ready on top of the pattern and tape into place. Color with the colored pencils on the roughened side of the plastic. and tape into place.
2. Use the Black Permanent Ink Pen to trace the outlines of the flower…OVER…the colored pencil.
3. Cut out pieces with a scissors and bake to shrink according to package instruction.
4. Cut a Piece of foam pad roughly the same size as the center of the blinking star. A good reference size is about the same size as a dime. Use the hole punch to punch a hole in the center of your dime sized foam pad piece. Punching the hole will allow the center of the star to blink through to the flower shape.
5. Attach the foam pad to the blinking star (remove paper to expose sticky surface). Attach the Shrinky Dinks flower to the front of the star on the foam pad. (Adhere to the smooth side of the flower.) The back of the Blinky is magnetic, so you don’t have to purchase extra magnets.
6. Twist to activate the blinking action.

Use your Blinking Blossom magnet to draw special attention to a message on your fridge, locker, desk…anywhere metallic.

If you want to wear your Blinky Blossom, the back of the Blinky is magnetic and has a small disk that will magnetize through fabric…. FLASHING FUN FOR EVERYONE!!
