Materials Needed Ø Shrinky Dinks sheet of Sunshine Yellow shrinkable plastic. (Item D400-6A) Ø Black Permanent Ink Pen - Identipen (Item D835) Ø Permapaque Dual Point Paint Marker, Orange (Item SAKBRD) Ø Piece Self Adheasive Rubber Magnet - .060, 1” long (Item D850) Ø Double-Stick Pad, cut ½” x ½” piece (Item FOMP) Ø Miscellaneous Items - Clear Tape, small scissors Ø Home or Toaster Oven How to Make Step 1: Get the pattern here. Tape Patterns face down on SD Yellow sheet. Turn sheet over. TRACE . Use Orange fine line tip to trace lines shown on Patterns….use Black to trace all other lines. Step 2: COLOR & PERSONALIZE: Color in nose with Orange. If you want to add a name, date or year, use Orange on pointed sunburst areas. Refer to Photo. Remove Pattern from plastic sheet. Step 3: CUT OUT: Cut out general shape around the Sun Burst. Be careful, plastic may tear. Start cutting from the tip of each sunburst…cut inward to the orange line. Repeat around the entire sunburst. Now, use small scissors to cut rounded areas between the sunbursts. (I used curved Manicure scissors.) Step 4: BAKE: Use directions contained in your package of Shrinky Dinks Sunshine Yellow Creative Pack. Step 5: COLOR EDGE: Using the chisel end of your Orange Paint Marker, color edge around the smiley face. Step 6: ASSEMBLE: Lay smiley face on top of your Personalized Sunburst. Position so that your name is centered with the smiley face. Center and attach smiley face with Double-Stick Pad. Turn your entire piece over and remove paper from the Rubber Magnet strip. Center and stick into place. WOW! Now you can make one for everyone in the family, give as gifts, or enjoy your own Keepsake! |
